When preparing for the exam, make a separate note of all dates, phrases, topic specific terms and definitions. Go over these whenever you are done preparing a chapter, or wish to take a break from memorizing things. You will find them coming to you more easily in the exam this way.

When you need to memorize descriptive answers like events in History, various procedures in Civics and natural processes Geography, you will need to make note of important terminology in order to score better. While writing these answers, fitting in relevant terms is not just necessary, but it gives you an edge over others as well.
3. Write down lengthy answers in points. This way, not only do you avoid the misery of having to learn entire paragraphs, you can recall them easily while writing the exam too.
