you can search your friends on the top of your profile in the left.

Hey friend,
To search any user of Brainly,
Go to the messages
There, appears an icon to search.
Click that and write the name of user.

And if you are using website,
Then, in your profile page, there's an option where you can find the friends invitations, there also an icon appears to search
There you can search the users.
