Use a considerably fine sieve ( the one used in the kitchen sometimes will do good :) ) to seperate sand from the mix of grass and pebblesSand will filter through the sieve while grass and pebbles stay. Now take the mix of grass and pebbles in a beaker and fill it with water.

Answer:

  • Use a considerably fine sieve ( the one used in the kitchen sometimes will do good :) ) to seperate sand from the mix of grass and pebbles. Sand will filter through the sieve while grass and pebbles stay.
  • Now take the mix of grass and pebbles in a beaker and fill it with water. Here technique of Sedimentation is used to seperate grass (floats at top) from pebbles( settle at bottom) based on differences in their densities.
  • the seperated grass may be blown dry to recover its original state.
