A mixture of ethanol, ethyl acetate and water can be eiciently separated by a process which comprises introducing methanol and the mixture into an azeotropic distillation zone, removing as bottom a mixture of ethanol and water, and as overhead an azeotropic mixture of about 56% ethyl.
