You must heat the gold containing copper ore until it becomes molten.With the gold being a heavy metal than copper,the gold will settle to the bottom and then you can pour of the copper.

copper is more eletropositive than good.thus on pouring sulphuric acid the copper dissolves and it releases hydrogen and gold remains below. filter gold out....
