how to seperate chloroform and water

It is very simple! You just put the two layers in a separating funnel and remove the bottom layer which will be the chloroform layer. The top layer will be aqueous layer.
Now you can dry the chloroform layer using sodium sulfate and distill out on rota to get the compound.
Please do not distill both the layers together in the rota because the impurity in the aqueous layer also will be present in your compound. and if u like my answer make it brainliest
