Hey there!

Let's solve the equation by Transposing.

2/3 x + 3 = 11

Transposing 3 to R. H. S

2/3x = 11 - 3

2/3x = 8 .

2x = 8 * 3 [ Transposing 3 to R. H. S ]

2x = 24

x = 24/2 [ Transposing 2 to R. H. S ]

x = 12 .

Check :

2/3 ( 12 ) + 3
= 2 ( 4 ) + 3
= 8 + 3
= 11.

L. H. S = R. H. S

Hope helped!

2/3x + 3 = 11

Taking LCM, {LCM = 3x}

 \frac{2 + 9x}{3x} = 11 \\ \\ 2 + 9x = 11 \times 3x \\ \\ 2 + 9x = 33x \\ \\ 2 = 33x - 9x \\ \\ 2 = 24x \\ \\ \frac{2}{24} =x \\ \\ \frac{1}{12} = x
For VERIFICATION,

Putting the value of x,

2/3x + 3 = 11

2/(3×1/12) = 11-3

(2×12)/3 = 8

2×4 = 8

8=8

Hence, Proved.

BUT, DUE TO A CONFUSION,

=> 2/3 x + 3 = 11

=> (2x)/3 = 11-3

=> (2x/3) = 8

=> 2x = 8×3

=> 2x = 24

=> x = 24/2

=> x =12

For VERIFICATION,

Putting the value of x,

=> (2x)/3 + 3=11

=> {(2×12) + 9}/3 =11

=> (24+9)/3 = 11

=> 33/3 =11

=> 11=11

Hence, proved

I hope this will help you
