Given equation : 3( x - 3 ) = 15

Divide by 3 on right hand side and left hand side

\dfrac{3(x-3)}{3}=\dfrac{15}{3}

1(x-3) = 5

( x - 3 ) = 5

x - 3 = 15

Adding 3 on both sides

x - 3 + 3 = 5 + 3

x = 8

Therefore value of x satisfying the given equation is 8.
