First subtract the 3x from both sides like this: 3x-3x+5y=15-3x
you should get: 5y=-3x+15 because 3x and the -3x cancel each other out
Now divide both sides by 5, like this: 5y/5=(-3x+15)/5
Now you should get: y=-3/5x+3
the slope is: -3 over 5
The Y-Intercept is: 3
So find 3 on the Y axis and put a point on that spot. Now go down 3 spaces and to the right 5 spaces, because the slope is -3 over 5. You can also reverse this and go up 3 and 5 to the left.
