how to solve 5x+3y=15

angelmathew: Is it a graph question for linear equation?
mdalisuleimaan: yes
angelmathew: k then my solution is right !
mdalisuleimaan: may i know how to solve it
angelmathew: Its a graph question
solution: 5x+3y=15
WE NEED TO SOLVE FOR Y ALWAYS BCS Y IS DEPENDENT ON X!!!
3y = 15-5x
y= (15-5x) / 3
angelmathew: hope it helps!!
mdalisuleimaan: thanx
angelmathew: welcome :)
lifeislife: good
angelmathew: :) :P

the value cannot be found, but:

5x+3y=15
means:
3y=15-5x
3y/3=(15-5x)/3
y=\frac{15-5x}{3}

5x+3y=15
means
5x=15-3x
5x/5=(15-36)/5
x=\frac{15-3x}5

We generally take y.

Ans=y=\frac{15-5x}{3}
