how to solve (9.8)using identity

well that's simple.

use the identity (a+b)(a-b) = (a^2-b^2)

write 9.8 as (10-0.2) the other part in such that it matches with the equation.

(a+b)(a-b)=(a^2-b^2) while equating with equation.
(10.0-0.2)=9.8......
