To solve an equation:

1. We should first find the Constant

Constant is a key number whose value is fixed , often referred to by a symbol (e.g., an alphabet letter) like a,b,x,y,...............

2.Keeping the 'constant' or 'whose value has to be find' on one side of  the equation (either R.H.S or L.H.S)and sending the remaining values with respective signs onto the other side of equation (either R.H.S or L.H.S)

R.H.S=Right hand side of equation

L.H.S=Left hand side of the equation

Transporting of values to other side of equation:

We transport the values by changing the sign of the value.

- becomes +     eg: -10 becomes +10

+ becomes -     eg: 2020 becomes -2020

× becomes ÷    eg: ×15 becomes ÷15

÷ becomes ×    eg: ÷8 becomes ×8

3.Simpliflying  the expression  which is opposite to the constant

and getting the value of constant i.e, solving the expression
