What are some strategies to solve MCQs Effectively and fast? in any exam, time is the currency. without proper time management, you will end up regretting why you haven’t solved those questions? The better you time plan your exam the more you will score. If the exam has time for 1 and a half hour and has a total of 90 MCQs then that will count as 1-minute for each MCQs. Very tough but the key is to solve as much MCQs as you can. I have seen people who regret not planning for a particular section in the paper, so the very first tip is to do time management. in any exam, there are hundreds of students, most of them are well-prepared but less than 20% do well in their exam because of the fact that your exam management skill matters too in the process. It is not how much information you have, it is about using that information to get better results.

The second tip to better solve multiple-choice questions is to read the whole question before ticking on the answer. I have this problem before and believe me, I was devasted. I well prepared for the exam but never get the desired results. Read the question carefully and then understand what the instructor wants from you? what result he/she is expected from you? there are a lot of instances where the instructor just wants to judge the student presence of mind and most of the time they succeed in tricking you. Read the question carefully and then read the choices given for the question, tick the one that is correct, but what if you don’t have the answer? Read the next paragraph.

The third tips are to increase the probability of a random tick. Probability is the highest chance of occurring of an event. If an MCQs have four options that mean, if you tick any of the options then there is a 25% probability that the MCQs will be correct. But Aamir, how to increase this probability? The trick is simple, we will use the elimination technique here. In Elimination technique, we remove those who are not required or unnecessary, in the Case of MCQs you have to eliminate those options that you think is not the right option for the answer. Now, if you tick on any option that will mean you will have a probability of 50% that the option you have tick will be correct.

Let me list down three tips that I have shared above:

Time Management

Read the question carefully.

Increase your probability

Limit your gauss work. Sometimes, tests have negative marketing for false MCQs, if you make the wrong choice then that will lead you to get a -1. This will affect your cumulative marks.

Don’t change the choice if you already tick it, in that case, the MCQs will be rejected and you will have to pay the price in the form of a -1.

If the correct option is not the list, choose the nearest possible answer.

  • Give more time to the Mathematics section than any other

less-important sections.
