To solve fractions you just have to keep in mind that you have to only take these fractions in their simplest forms

e.g.

if you have to solve this fraction 14/7 then  its simplest form is 2

and if you have to solve this type of fraction 5/20 then its simplest form is 1/4

means i want to say that you have just to take these fractions to their simplest form

and if you ohave to solve like this

2/6+7/4

then just take LCM of 6 and 4 which is 12

Now divide 12/6 and 12/4 you will get 2 and 3

now multiply 2 with 2 and 7 with 3 and take it as numerator

and the LCM of 6 and 4 which is 12 , take it as denominator

now you will get 4+21/12=25/12.

now, we can see that 25/12 is in its simplest form

so this is the answer

but if you get something as 24/12 or something as 27/12

then we can see that these are not in their simplest form

so we have to take these in their simplest form which is

for 24/12 it is 2 and for 27/12 it is 9/4

Hope this helps you
