Answer:

Solution :-

Here, we have

the given equations are

⇒ 3x - 5y = - 1 ... (i)

⇒ x - y = - 1 .... (ii)

From (ii), we get

⇒ y = x + 1 ..... (iii)

Putting y's value in eq (i), we get

⇒ 3x - 5(x + 1) = - 1

⇒ - 2x - 5 = - 1

⇒ - 2x = 4

⇒ x = 4/- 2

⇒ x = - 2

Putting x's value in Eq (iii), we get

⇒ y = x + 1

⇒ y = - 2 + 1

⇒ y = - 1

Here, x = - 2 and y = - 1

Hence, the solution of the given system of equation is x = - 2, y = - 1.

Answer:

Explanation:

3x-5y= -1........ 1

x-y= -1........2

Let's use equation 2 to get equation 3

x= -1+y............3

Substitute x= -1+y

3( -1+y)- y= -1

-3+3y-y= -1

-3+2y= -1

Collect like terms

2y= -1+3

2y=2

y=1

Substitute y=1 in equation 1

3x-5(1)= -1

3x-5= -1

3x=-1+5

3x=4

x=3/4
