px-3y = 1.............. (1)
-12x+py = 2.......... (2)
In case of infinitely many solution
a1 = p b1 = - 3 c1 = - 1
a2 = -12 b2 = p c2 = - 2
a1/a2 = b1/b2 = c1/c2
-p/12 = - 3/p = 1/2
p^2 = 36
p = 6

Given Equation is px - 3y = 1

On comparing with a1x + b1y + c1 = 0,

a1 = p, b1 = -3, c1 = -1 ----- (1)

Given Equation is -12x + py = 2

a2 = -12, b2 = p, c2 = -2 ----- (2)

Now,

Given System of linear Equations have infinite number of solutions.So,

= > (a1/a2) = (b1/b2) = (c1/c2)

 = > \frac{p}{-12} = \frac{-3}{p} = \frac{-1}{-2}

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

(i)

 = > \frac{p}{-12} = \frac{-3}{p}

 = > p^2 = 36

= > p = 6,-6.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

(ii)

 = > \frac{-3}{p} = \frac{-1}{-2}

 = \frac{-3}{p} = \frac{1}{2}

 = > -3 * 2 = p

= > p = -6.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here, p = -6 satisfies both equations.

Therefore, The value of p = -6.
