This is the easiest chapter in maths
So,
n(s) is the sample set. It means the total quantity.
And E is the event which is the condition
And P(E) is the probability of the condition given in E
For ex
If we consider a dice
n(s) is {1,2,3,4,5,6}
and
E1 says that find the probility that a number falls is even
Then,
We say,
E1= an even number
n(E1)={2,4,6} (These are the possible numbers)
Therefore,
The probility is
P(E1)=n(E1)/n(s)
=3/6
=1/2
