How to solve the equation 5x - 6y = 8 and 7y - 15x = 9 with addition or subtraction method

add the equation s by multiplying the first equation by 5 and second equation by 2.

5x - 6y = 8 ⇒ 5x - 6y- 8 ⇒(1)
7y - 15x = 9 ⇒ 7y - 15x- 9 ⇒(2)
multiply (1) with 3
15x - 18y - 24 ⇒(3)
(2)+(3)
-11y = -33
y = 3
x = 4/5
