the median is = 4+6 / 2 = 5

write down numbers in increasing order.

Take out two numbers from the middle and take their average.

For example:- If the numbers are 16,4,12,32 24,28,8,20

Arrange it in ascending order 4,8,12,16,20,24,38,32

Now take two terms from middle I.e. 16 and 20 .

Now taking average of two numbers we get 16+20/2=18..
