Answer:

1st expand (ax+by)^2

after expanding u will get =ax^2+by^2+2axby

then expand (bx-ay)^2

after expanding u will get =bx^2+ay^2-2bxay

After expanding we have to simplify the 1st equation with the 2nd....

ax^2+by^2+2axby+bx^2+ay^2-2bxay

ax^2+by^2+by^2+ay^2    ( + and - 2axby gets cancelled)
