x+y=6
or, x=6-y(equation 1)
Now, putting the valuex of equation1
6-y-y=4
6-2y=4
-2y=6-4
-2y=2
y=-1(equation2)
Now , putting the value y of equation2
x-1=6
x=7
Thus , x=7
y=-1
or, x=6-y(equation 1)
Now, putting the valuex of equation1
6-y-y=4
6-2y=4
-2y=6-4
-2y=2
y=-1(equation2)
Now , putting the value y of equation2
x-1=6
x=7
Thus , x=7
y=-1

first find the two points to draw the line on graph
here is your point
x + y = 6
take x = 0 y = 6
& then x = 6 y = 0
for x - y = 4
similarly.
take x = 0 y = 4
x = 4 y = 0
now draw on graph
you will get an intersection point.
hope it helps
