${5}^{2x + 1} - 25 = 125 \\ {5}^{2x + 1} - {5}^{2} = {5}^{3} \\ we \: know \: that \: same \: base \: power \: add \: \\ 2x + 1 - 2 = 3 \\ 2x = 4 \\ x = 2$
