Step-by-step explanation:

\color{red}{\underline{\huge{GIVEN\dag}}}

 \sqrt{ ( { \frac{3.5}{2} })^{2} +  ({3.25})^{2}   }

\color{red}{\underline{\huge{SOLUTION\dag}}}

 =  \sqrt{( { \frac{3.5}{2} )}^{2} +  {( \frac{(2 \times 3.25)}{2} })^{2}   }

 =  \sqrt{  ({ \frac{3.5 + (2 \times 3.25)}{2} })^{2} } (taking LCM)

 =  \frac{3.5 + (2 \times 3.25)}{2}

 =  \frac{3.5 + 6.5}{2}

 =  \frac{10}{2}

 \color{green}{ {\boxed{ \sqrt{ ( { \frac{3.5}{2} })^{2} +  ({3.25})^{2}   } = 5}}}

HOPE THAT HELPS!!
