let equation 1. 7x-2y=1
and equation 2. 3x+4y=15

now , in equation 1.
7x-2y=1
x=1+2y/7

from eq. 1putting the value of x in equation 2. we get;

3x+4y=15
y=3
so x=1

Answer:

X=1,Y=3

Step-by-step explanation:

7x-2y=1----(1)

3x+4y=15--(2)

a1/a2 =/ b1/b2 -----(so they have only 1solution )

BY USING CANCELING METHOD

7x-2y=1

3x+4y=15

[7x-4y=1]*2

3x+4y=15

14x-4y=2 {adding them}

3x+4y=15

-----------------

17x+0=17

X=17/17

{X=1}

Putting the value of x in equation <1>

7x-2y=1

7(1)-2y=1

1-7=-2y

-6= -2y

-6/-2 =y

3=y
