suppose the present age of kavita be

so, the present age of sunita be

$x + 24$

According to the question,

$(x + 24) - 6 =3 (x - 6)$

$x + 18 = 3x - 18 \\ 2x = 36 \\ \\ x = \frac{36}{2} \\ x = 18$

so, present age of kavita =18years

and present age of sunita =

$(18 + 24)year$

=42 year
