let we assume that 2root3-1 is a rational number.
2root3-1=a/b (where a &b are co - prime no. and b is not equal to 0)
now , root 3-1=a/2
root 3=a/2b+1
as we know that root 3 is an irrational no. so irrational and rational no. can't be equal . so our assumption went wrong and 2root3-1 is an irrational no.
