in given figure it is a parallelogram , and we know that a parallelogram has equal and opposite sides.
Now, name the parallelogram as ABCD with A at angle y
and let at B point the angle is x+ p
and at C point angle is 112°
and at D point the angle is 40°+z
Now angle p= 40° ( because AB || CD )
hence in ∆ BCD, angle p+ z+ 112°=180(sum of all angles of a ∆ is 180°).
so, z= 180°-40°+112°
z= 28°
similarly in ∆ ABD, x=z=28°
so angle x=28°
therefore, y = 180°-40°-28°
y= 180°- 68°
y=112°
