Let son's age be x
father's age =x+26
after 3 years ,
now son's age=x+3 ,
father's age=x+26+3=x+29
x+3=1/3 (x+29)
x+3=(1x+29)/3
3x+9=x+29
2x=20
x=20/2
x=10
So, son's present age is 10 years
HOPE IT'S HELPFUL!!!!

hi Arnav ,
let father's age be x
let sons age be y
according to the question
x - y = 26 .....1
and also, three years later
x +3=(y+3)3
x +3= 3y+ 9
x= 3y+6
putting it in .....1
3y+6-y=26
2y=26-6
2y=20
y=10
so sons age is 10 year
hope it helps !!
