SEE THE PROBLEM IS IF AN SELLER SELLS AN LAMP AT 20%PROFIT THAN SELLING IT ON 20%LOSS.HE GETS 10 MORE.
SO
LET PRICE OF LAMP BE 100
SO IF HE SELLS 20% LESS HE SOLD ON 80.
BUT HE SOLD ON 20% PROFIT SO HE WILL SELL IT ON 120.
NOW SEE THE PROFIT BETWEEN LOSS 20% AND GAIN 20% IT IS 120- 80=40.

BUT IT IS GIVEN THAT HE GET 10 RUPEES MORE.
SO OUR MONEY IS 4 TIMES MORE SO DIVIDE IT BY 4.
NOW YOU GET 10.
NOW YOU HAVE TO DIVIDE 100 ALSO BY 4.
YOU GET 25.

NOW LETS RECHECK.
LET PRICE BE 25.
IF SOLD AT 20% LOSS IT WILL BE 20.
AND IF SOLD AT 20% GAIN IT WILL BE 30.
SO NOW LETS SEE THE DIFFERENCES.
THAT IS 30-20=10.
SO WE GET OUR CONDITIONS SATISFIED.

HENCE 25 RUPEES IS PRICE OF LAMP.

HOPE SO THIS HELPS U
