i) Here, we are counting the permutations of 6 different letters i.e M , O, N, D, A, Y
taken 4 at a time. so the required number of words =6×5×4×3 =360 .
ii) here all letters are used so 6 letters are there and are taken 6 at a time. so required no. of letters = 6×5×4×3×2×1 =720.
iii) Total no of vowels in the word MONDAY =2
No of ways in which first is a vowel =2C12C1
And other letters are 5C5=5!5C5=5!
⇒5×4×3×2×1⇒5×4×3×2×1
⇒120⇒120
Total no of ways =12×2C112×2C1
⇒120×2⇒120×2
⇒240⇒240 ways
