 Compare \: given \: quadratic \: equation:

 x^{2} - 12x +35 = 0\: with \:ax^{2}+bx+c=0,

 we \:get

 a = 1 , b = -12 \:and \: c = 35

 Discriminant (D) = b^{2} - 4ac

 = (-12)^{2} - 4 \times 1 \times 35

 = 144 - 140

 = 4

/* By Quadratic Formula */

 x = \frac{-b\pm \sqrt{D}}{2a}

 = \frac{ -(-12) \pm \sqrt{4}}{2 \times 1 }

 = \frac{12\pm 2 }{2}

Therefore.,

 x = \frac{12+2}{2} \: Or \: x = \frac{12-2}{2}

 \implies x = \frac{14}{2} \: Or \: x = \frac{10}{2}

 \implies x = 7 \: Or \: x = 5
