x^2 - (x - 2)^2 - 32 = 0
x^2 - (x^2 - 4 x + 4) - 32 = 0
x^2 - x^2 + 4 x - 4 - 32 = 0
4 x - 4 - 32 = 0
4 x - 36 = 0
4 x = 36
x = 9

x^2 -x^2+2ab-4 =32
2ab=32+4
ab=36/2
ab=18
