Question :-

  • Solve for x

 \frac{x}{4} + \frac{x}{6} = x - 6 \\ \\

Solution :-

 \frac{x}{4} + \frac{x}{6} = x - 7 \\ \\

Take lcm of 4 and 6= 12

Hence,

 \frac{3x + 2x}{12} = x - 7 \\ \\

Now do cross Multiplication

12x - 84 = 3x + 2x \\ \\ 12x - 84 = 5x \\ \\ 12x - 5x = 84 \\ \\ 7x = 84 \\ \\ x = \frac{84}{7} = 12 \: \: \: \: \: ans
