 = x( {x}^{ - 1} ) - 8(x + 2) \\ \\ = x( \frac{1}{x} ) - 8x - 16 \\ \\ = 1 - 8x - 16 \\ \\ = - 8x - 15 \\ \\ = - (8x + 15)
