How to solve x+y=5 2x+2y=10

By multiplying both side with 2,I.e.x+y=5
2(x+y)=2(5)
2x+2y=10

x+y=5
x=5-y
2x+2y=10
2 (x+y)=10 (2 is the common co-efficient)
2 (5)=10 (substitute the value of x+y)
