hi , as we know that ( formula )

cos 2A = 2sin^2 A - 1

then , what will be the value of cosA ?

cos A = 2 sin^2 A / 2 - 1

now what will be the value of
( 1 + cosA ) ?

CosA + 1 = 2sin^2 A /2
or
1 + cosA = 2sin^2 A / 2

now come to your problem ,

a √{ 2 ( 1 + cos A )

= a √( 2 ( 2 sin^2 A /2 ) )

= a √ ( 4 sin^2 A / 2 )

= a × √4 × √ sin^2 A / 2

= a × 2 × sin A /2

= 2a sin A / 2

hence , your answer = 2asinA /2

pjaved9697: brilliant
TheLostMonk: WELCOME
pjaved9697: but I think cosA = 1-2sin^A/2
