To sort from smallest to largest:

Select a cell in the column you want to sort (a column with numbers).
Click the Sort & Filter command in the Editing group on the Home tab.Select From Smallest to Largest.
Now the information is organized from the smallest to largest amount.

To sort data in excel

1) Click on any cell. Click on sort button in the and filter group on data tab . The entire data will be selected and the SORT dialog box appears.
2) Select a field, example total from the SORT BY list box
3) Select the largest to smallest option in the order section. By default the smallest to largest option is selected
4) By default my data has headers checkbox is selected
5) Excel usualy assumes that you have a header row the ,First row of titles for your data.
6) Click on Ok the database will be arranged in descending order on the basis of Total column





To filter data in excel

1) Select any cell within the database range. Choose DATA> FILTER
2) Small arrows will be added to each field name. The arrows are used to filter data
3) Click on drop-down arrow of the field name. Select any number from the drop down list
4) Your list will get filtered
