Speaking English is not a rocket science yar.. With your active participation, you can speak fluently in months.
Reading, writing, listening and speaking, all of them are important aspects to improve your English.
Read books. As a novice, start to read Chetan Bhagat or any writers who use simple English (you might regret after Chetan Bhagat, but trust me it works for novices) . If you feel it is hard, try to read at least 3 pages a day.
Start to write diary or write something you love such as travel, movies, anything or things you are curious about. You can check the grammar with free tools such as Grammarly.
For the next time you watch cricket or any other sports, concentrate on the running commentary. When you have free time, watch your favorite celebrities interview in English. watching your favorite movies with subtitles is also appreciable. It is much better to watch Hollywood movies with sub-titles. When you find any unknown or complex vocabulary on movie, pause it and use google dictionary. don’t skip any dialogues while watching a movie.
I know, how it feels when you speak English as a novice with your friends. Call customer care service and choose English or visit a 5-star hotel near you and start to make a conversation with receptionist. Talk to the random people in roads in English. This also increase your confidence.
Involving on these activities in your daily routine can increase your standard of English and helps you to speak fluently with more confidence.
Not only for English, you can follow these steps to learn any languages.
Never ever feel ashamed to make mistake. Only the mistakes you do can take you to step ahead in your life. when you make any mistakes, be proud that you are learning something in your life.
Best of luck and Happy learning!!
