When we Say the exact sentences said by the Person it,s called direct Speech.
And it is Always indicated by inverted comma.
For Example:- She said " I will go to market ".
When we Say Speaker's sentence to some one else and we Do not mention the exact sentence ,it,s called indirect Speech. It is never indicated with inverted comma.
For Example:- She said that she will go to market.
