let's say we have to split
x^2+7x+10
we have to split 7x into two no's such as it's product is 10 and sum or difference is 7
x^2+5x+2x+10
now take commons and find X
X(X+5)+2(X+5)
(X+5)(X+2)=0
X=-5 or X=-2.

It means that spliting a number in equation by subtracting or by adding.
u can Do factorization of the terms.
It will be easy.

Or
.But youhave to practice it alot.Let I give u an example- x²+7x+10
Step1: Multiply 1st n last term i.e; x² × 10= 10x²
Now split middle term accordingto answer u get by multiply.
It can be 5x and 2x If we add these2 no.s then we get 5x+ 2x =7x
if we multiply 5x × 2x = 10x²
step 2: solve the equation now x²+5x+2x+10
x(x+5)+2 (x+5)
(x+2)(x+5)
.
