I am also in 9th..
So to get pass with excellent marks...Here are some ways...
# Just soon after returning home from school, refresh youself and revise everything that was taught that day...
# Then, when tests arrive, dont waste time and just read the concept until u understand...After you understood just study , u will remember forever...
# When exams come, just read ur books...thats enough...
# Then sit in front of internet and browse for previous year questions and work it out...
If you do these, I sware u will be the top ranker..
