Hey! Speaking from my experience, I found one thing especially helpful to study mathematics. I learned this from a video lecture on youtube, It was a foreign teacher and the video was about the most common mistakes students make in mathematics. The teacher gave us this advice, and belive me it really worked for me. He said that everytime you solve a question and get the wrong answer, check the process again and again to find your mistake, and write it down on a sheet of paper that you could keep with you most of the time or paste on your study table. After doing this a good no. of times, I found that I practically stopped making those mistakes. I hope it will work out for you too. Another thing is don't "read" maths, solve it. Whenever you sit down to study maths, take a copy and pen with you and attempt the questions, don't just read the theory. Practice as many questions as you can. As this is the only way to build up your concepts.
