Concept:

Subtraction is a mathematical operation that means the operation of reducing or removing objects or numbers from another.

Given:

We have,

1 - 0.75.

Find:

We are asked to substract.

Solution:

So,

We have,

1 - 0.75

Now,

First, convert the 0.75 into a fraction by dividing by 1,

i.e.  = 0.75 / 1

Multiply both numerator and denominator by 100,

i.e.

(0.75 × 100) / (1 × 100)

We get,

= 75 / 100

Now,

Replace 0.75 by 75/100,

i.e.

= 1 - (75 / 100)

Now take LCM of 100 and 1,

We get,

= (100 - 75) / 100

= 25 / 100

Now, divide 25 by 100,

We get,

= 0.25

Hence, the subtraction of 1 - 0.75 is 0.25.
