convert both the values in decimal and after subtracting convert it again into percentage if both values r given in percentage then just subtract them without converting in decimal ;p.

Follow his words if u didn't understand then
Let us take up an example
Two percentages r 78% and 12% then to subtract both u just subtract the no.
78 - 12 = 66%
Or
If it is given in this way
78% and 3/5 then first convert both into decimals
78/100 = 0.78
3/5 = 0.6
So,
0.78 - 0.6 = 0.18
So, percentage will be
0.18 x 100 = 18%
