For example: biting nails, smoking, overspending money are bad habits. Infact, bad habits needs to be replaced as elimination is quite difficult.
The most useful way to tackle bad habit is to replace that habit with a good habit that gives the similar kind of benefit. For example: most of the people to get rid of stress smokes cigarettes. So instead of smoking, they can do some other things to keep themselves busy and thus can get rid of stress and anxiety.
