Introduction/Background:
Orphan, namely the child whose parents are passed away, it is usually happened in the slum area or villages, because of the poor quality of life, or some other natural reasons, such as earthquake, flood, or eruption of volcano, it is all can cause generate the orphans. In Indonesia, there also so many orphans in Jakarta and many places, especially after the big disaster happened a few days ago in Indonesia, it is already caused more than 400 people dead, many kids become orphans again, the orphans already become a social problem in Indonesia even the world. Orphan, from their childhood, they lack of the love and care from the parents. Luckily, recently years, government aware that situation so they constructed many places for the children who lost their parents, that is called orphanage. But still many orphans wait for aids. For those orphans live in orphanage, their childhood certainly different from the child who live with their parents, the orphans will easily have emotion about self-abased, it is not good for their healthy and self development, so our group decided to go to one of orphanages in Jakarta, in order to help the orphans have good attitudes for life and have a happiness childhood by teaching lessons, playing games, and hanging out together with them. Our plan as follow:
Plan:
Go to the one orphanage in Jakarta, named GRAHA ANUGERAH, and living with them for few days, through the kinds of activities such as studying, singing and playing, to help them master knowledge and skills, build right perception for themselves and society and good self-characteristic. And our service will not end as long as we still in Indonesia; we will use the spare time to visit more and more orphanages, to help the orphans.
