how to take out atomic mass of an element.

Atomic mass of an element is equal to the number of protons (p) or electrons(e).

Z=p=e


Example...
Chlorine.... Cl
Electronic configuration =2,8,7
Total electrons =17
So,
Atomic number will be 17.
Since, Atomic number =Number of electrons.
