How to take out standard form of rational number??

Step 1 : Find the Highest Common Factor of both the numerator and the denominator.
Step 2 :  Divide both the numerator and the denominator by the HCF.
Step 3 : If the denominator is negative, then multiply the numerator and the denominator by -1.

Any number which is in the form of

p / q , where p, q are integers and

q ≠ 0 are called a rational number.

Q = { p/q : p, q€ Z , q ≠ 0 }

Example : 2 , -4 /7 , 9 / -14 , 0 , ...,
