how to tell if a fraction is a rational or irrational

Answer:

To find rational : when we divide the fraction the quotient should be terminating and reccuring (or) non-terminating but reccuring .

To find irrational :  when we divide the fraction the quotient should be   non- terminating and also non-recurring.

NOTE : RECURRING MEANS REPEATING.

            TERMINATING MEANS ENDING.
