How to turn a song into riff / fingerpicking pattern on guitar. Any instruments player help me.

A riff is a repeated chord progression or refrain in music (also known as an ostinato figure in classical music); it is a pattern, or melody, often played by the rhythm section instruments or solo instrument, that forms the basis or accompaniment of a musical composition. What’s interesting, when you think about it, is that the great songs have little in common. Some are written alone, some collaboratively; some feature personal themes, some universal; some are built simply, some are labyrinthine. There is, however, one trait that all of these songs share in common: They’re finished. If you’re a songwriter and you find yourself stockpiling unfinished verses and abandoned choruses, this article is for you. It’s chock-full of lessons that I’ve learned along the way, and you’ll hear from esteemed writers like Theo Katzman (Vuflpeck) and and James Valentine (Maroon 5) as well.
